How It Works

Starting Monday 15th February, you will receive two new modules each week for 3 weeks. Each module focuses on a different area and is taught by way of videos, worksheets and quizzes. See below for further details regarding each module.

Why Girls?

Why are girls experiencing higher levels of anxiety than ever before? And how can you help? This first module introduces you to 'Girl Power' and addresses these important questions.

Positive Psychology

Our workshops are based on the principles of Positive Psychology and in this module you will develop an understanding of PERMA, Strengths, Growth Mindset, Flow, Learned Optimism and Mindfulness.

Workshop Structure

In Module 3 you will learn how to structure a girls' well-being workshop in a way that is not only educational and empowering but also creative and FUN!

The SHINE Workshop

in Module 4, you'll feel like a 'fly on the wall' as you watch a SHINE workshop in action! This will give you a deeper understanding of the topics and activities in our workshops and how to deliver the content.

Teaching Essentials

In this module we cover planning, behaviour management, professionalism, safety and effective strategies to maintain student engagement.

Business Stuff

If you want to run workshops for girls as part of a business, this info is invaluable! In this module we discuss branding, budgeting, customer service, marketing and more.

About Your Instructor

Joni Combe is a qualified teacher with a Certificate in in Positive Psychology and over 20 years experience educating young people. As the founder of Girl Power Workshops, she has helped thousands of girls and women develop confidence, resilience and a positive outlook through her creative and fun workshops and courses.
